Job Description
MISSIONS:
To develop and maintain a view of the North American market for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell vehicles
To understand the KPI’s and dynamics of the heavy duty and off highway mobility markets.
To coordinate external communication/public relations activities in the region
TASKS:
Market Intelligence
- To develop a view of the North American heavy duty and off highway markets as it pertains to zero emissions mobility and more specifically hydrogen based energy storage solutions. Analyze public data to understand both regional macro-trends such as emissions regulations and local incentives that drive the growth of the market.
Based on this information develop a gap analysis related to what information is needed to make stronger predictions of the future market short and long term.
Work with the necessary suppliers to close this gap and maintain a close watch on the evolution of the market.
Work with the internal stakeholders within Plastic Omnium to capture data into global and group-wide tracking and forecasting tools.
- Lead market analysis for the strategic planning (5 year + budget) : Provide regular periodic insight on vehicle forecast models for the coming 5-to-10-year period, supply the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning
- Support the development of a technical development plan for each customer by working with the customer center product development teams and commercial leads to drive the 5 year strategic planning.
- Gather information on competitors
External Communication / Public Relations
- To coordinate division external events and spoken opportunities within North America.
- To coordinate the organization of Tech Days with OEMs in the region
- To ensure seamless product promotion with regular update of showrooms and mock-ups and related materials (posters, product sheets)
- To support and implement corporate promotion in the region (intranet, website, presentations, goodies, sponsoring operations, etc.)
- To support corporate identity/branding implementation in the region (graphics charter, logos)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Teamwork
- English, French, German as a plus
- Must be at ease working in an international environment
- Must be a good listener
- Events coordination and planning skills
- Analytical skills for market/business analysis

- Ability to work effectively in teams independently, within tight deadlines

- Professional and mature approach with the ability to comfortably interact with all levels including Senior Management
- Self-starter that can work independently to manage own workload with minimal supervision and well as effectively as part of a team
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Degree required; Business administration / Marketing / Communication
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working within the automotive industry in a marketing /communication position
- Must be Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship from PLASTIC OMNIUM now, and in the future
