Job Description
The Loan Servicing Manager is responsible for successfully supervising staff on daily operations, service quality, and loan compliance. Key responsibilities include, team leadership, meeting/exceeding loan servicing performance goals, managing all aspects of loan servicing, maintaining a high level of service quality, producing accurate reporting and compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.
Loan Servicing Operations
1. Develop & maintain procedures for the loan file maintenance process (including document review, scanning and retention) and loan operation functions to operate efficiently and within regulatory guidelines
2. Manage efficient system uploads from Loan Writer and Encompass to book the loan onto Insight; conduct QC on uploads and adjustments to the loans checking for accuracy
3. Oversee the collection, retention and distribution (internal and external) of loan database information guaranteeing completeness and accuracy
4. Assist staff and customers with issues or areas of concern and record in the Complaint Log in Contact Management; track progress and document resolution
5. Serve as a resource for the balancing of loan related General Ledger accounts
6. Develop and implement controls for loan products; make sure they are booked in a manner that efficiently controls risk and compliance
7. Provide management with weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as directed
8. Possess in-depth knowledge of loan products, loan servicing, collateral, and regulatory lending requirements.
9. Process investor and HDF reports and remit payments
10. Oversee escrow process including taxes, insurances, PMI disbursements and annual escrow analysis.
Quality Control Management
1. Implement and review work product for compliance with quality initiatives
2. Provide guidance and set expectations within staff job for setting timelines to complete quality assurance relating to loan set up and loan documentation review and retention.
3. Assign related quality assurance tasks to staff to maintain 100% compliance quality for loan files
4. Monitor daily/monthly reports, as well as investor loan maintenance, sale of loans, and monthly reconciliation
Collection Management
1.Monitor loan collection process as set by the bank
2.Provide reports on collection process to management as needed
3.Maintain reports for home inspections as needed
Account Maintenance
1. Supervise the daily maintenance of escrow accounts and secondary market real estate accounts guaranteeing the accuracy of reports and remittance
2. Assist with New Loan Product development and adjustments/corrections to existing minors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or equivalent, banking experience preferred
5+ years relevant experience in loan servicing related area
Working knowledge of secondary marketing guidelines and servicing
Advanced knowledge of customer service principles and processes
Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication and listening skills
Relevant experience developing and achieving team goals
Strong computer and banking software experience
Proven ability to stay current with and comply with industry regulations
Should be analytical, detail oriented, and organized
Must be able to meet deadlines and handle shifting multiple priorities
Experience analyzing current market conditions to determine future business opportunities and projections
