What we need…
The Platform Analyst II will be primarily responsible to assist with system selection and deployment, application security, performance monitoring and alerting, testing and/or troubleshooting application functionality, installing patches, conducting software upgrades, managing recurring application maintenance events, authoring platform documentation, as well as maintains the business continuity preparedness of the assigned platform. The Analyst must be able to work independently and use good judgment while completing tasks. The position will support various software platforms and the Analyst will serve as a liaison between the business units and the infrastructure teams, while fulfilling more complex work requests.

What you’ll do…
Responsible to resolve more complex application issues along with any specialized hardware that may support those applications
Assists with new product evaluations, implementations and system enhancements, upgrades, modifications
Responsible for defining and maintaining adequate controls for monitoring application performance, alerting requirements and adherence to security standards and procedures
Assesses the potential impact of hot fixes/patching and aids in the planning, testing, and execution of related events
Performs system maintenance and changes. Schedules and performs application related recurring password changes as required by COCC security policies.
Maintains and monitors ticketing system to ensure application requests and issues are effectively completed and resolved in a timely manner within the said SLAs
Maintains a strict adherence to Change Control policy and other procedures related to system assurance
Performs acceptance and “proof of concept” testing for assigned applications. Defines and documents testing scripts
Act as a liaison between the business unit, product management teams and their technical counterparts when required
Serves as a subject matter expert for complex problem resolution
Available for on-call after hours support and maintenance events as needed
May serve as project coordinator for system/application deployment
Gathers and reviews data and information necessary to understand functional and technical requirements as they apply to the system/application
Assists in developing and implementing strategies for the implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
Coordinates application installations and/or issue resolution while interfacing with other technical resources to quickly resolve the related issues
Works closely with application and infrastructure counterparts to create and maintain technical application documentation such as platform diagrams, data flow illustrations and the related
Defines and completes business requirements for internal review in support of technical initiatives within the organization
What you’ll bring…
Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role but will consider appropriate work experience and/or relevant certifications.
Experience creating and implementing PowerShell scripts.
Experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle DB, and other database management systems used by applications.
Experience with Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat web servers.
Extensive knowledge of IT support concepts and practices
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel
Proficiency managing and tracking project plans
Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail
Understanding of relational databases and the ability to construct database queries a plus
Working knowledge of Visio or other system diagram tool
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000
