This position requires a hybrid in-office work arrangement with the ability to work 3 days per week in a UKG office (Weston – FL).

About the Associate Cloud Engineer Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an Associate Cloud Engineer. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with around 1 year of experience in cloud technologies. As an Associate Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with our senior cloud engineers to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud security best practices.
- Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new cloud technologies and services.
- Document processes, procedures, and technical configurations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Previous internship(s) or professional experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience in Windows OS, IIS, AD, and PowerShell
- Familiarity with cloud concepts, including virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or PowerShell) for automation and scripting purposes.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and configuration management (e.g., TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work on-site in one of UKG’s office locations a minimum of 3 days per week. Locations - Weston, FL
- Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance
- Positive team player attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Kafka, Kibana, and Grafana
- Knowledge of database technologies, such as MS SQL, MYSQL, and\or MongoDB.
- Knowledge of Linux
- Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and how to connect with remote systems.
