Job Description
Job Overview:
Working closely with the Partner in Charge of the firm’s Growth Committee and the Managing Partner, the Marketing & Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing all marketing & business development objectives and activities that support the organic growth of the firm. Major responsibilities will include target marketing for firm & industry niches, recruiting marketing, public relations, internal communications, web site enhancement and maintenance, social media management, and business development. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting or professional services marketing professional who is a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization.
Marketing and Communications:
- Translate marketing strategies and insights into results-focused marketing tactics based on thorough analysis and a clear understanding of expected outcomes.
- Manage all marketing related activities for the firm and/or industry niches
- Develop and implement communication strategies for building awareness of the firm’s brand, key themes, niche markets & recruiting efforts. This includes but is not limited to: strategic advertisement placement in various media related to accounting profession or niche markets, written announcements/articles/posts for media release, newsletters/e-newsletters, social media posts utilizing Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, blogs, etc.
- Updates and oversee website look and content by working with outside website firm, via Octane CMS
- Plan and implement firm-sponsored events for clients, referral source and/or associates
- Produce and distribute weekly internal firm-wide newsletter through collaboration with Human Resources and Managing Partner
- Develop and maintains all marketing collateral branded giveaways
- Manage client satisfaction survey process
- Write, edit and publish (on website and via external newsletters) thought leadership (articles, white papers, presentations, fliers, etc.)
- Work closely with talent acquisition in marketing the firm to candidates; includes creating recruiting campaigns and materials as well as creating and implementing social media posts and ads using Hootsuite and Canva.
Business Development:
- Identify networking opportunities and organizations within niche markets.
- Maintain client, prospect, referral source and all other contacts on various platforms (Outlook, MailChimp, EventBrite, etc…) to ensure they receive newsletters, invitation to events, promotional mailings, tweets, etc.
- Writes, designs & produces new business proposals and presentations
- Assist in the development of a cross selling culture and expansion of services to existing clients
- Work with Partners, Managers & Supervisors in developing & implementing personal marketing plans while coaching and encouraging other associates to grow their individual books of business
- Update and manage reporting within firm’s new business pipeline
- Help establish agenda for Growth Committee meetings and assists with executing committee initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications with relevant business experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in accounting, law firm or other professional services marketing, required
- Experience developing & implementing firm branding, marketing campaigns (overall & for niche markets) websites, marketing collateral, newsletters/e-newsletters, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced social networking skills and proficient in interactions with platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, HootSuite, etc…
- Proficient in data entry, MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint), Adobe, and other editing and office productivity software
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
- Experience with developing & implementing personal marketing plans for firm personnel
- Experience with establishing networking opportunities with potential business partners
- Experience with creating a marketing & business development culture within the firm
- Excellent research skills including data gathering and reporting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
