Job Description
The Territory Manager is responsible for communicating the benefits of S&C products to drive sales in the West Region of the US, specifically Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric. The Territory Manager will help increase S&C’s sales revenues as well as develop and maintain strong customer relationships within their assigned territory.
The successful candidate will have experience selling product solutions to the electrical power market or related technical sales. They will enjoy a fast-paced competitive environment, where they identify large scale customer needs, emerging trends and effectively respond to opportunities.
This role reports to the Regional Director West Region and focuses on promoting S&C’s products & services to Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated proficiency selling technical products preferably in the power distribution market space.
Demonstrate experience assessing and meeting customer expectations and needs.
Must excel and enjoy at delivering customer and sales presentations, developing proposals and speaking in front of an audience of customers.
Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships necessary to effectively sell the S&C’s products and services.
Ability to oversee a significant number of projects and initiatives at the same time due to the diverse customer base of utilities, distributors, contractors, consultants, and commercial/industrial/institutional entities.
Partner with inside sales support, product specialists, operations, and other key team members to support the needs of company and customer.
Develop the expertise to apply, specify, and support the company’s products across our various customer classifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated sales experience, preferrable in the electric power industry or in Sales marketing service experience in technical sales.
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of the application and operation of medium voltage electrical equipment
An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic.
Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines with resilience and intellectual flexibility.
Ability to travel extensively, at least 70% required (primarily within assigned territory with some national travel throughout the year)
