Job Description
This is a full-time, Monday- Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM position. Starting wage $16-18/hour, based on experience.
Summary
To accurately input data into a billing system for accounts receivable purposes and demonstrate excellent customer service to walk-in counter customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares and open walk-in counter daily
Greets and assists customers with parcels for shipment
Utilizes handheld pad to enter packages for pick up or inbound scans
Accurately enter package information into billing system using the 10-key portion of a keyboard as well as a desk top scanner
Interacts with customers via telephone and email regarding questions concerning their daily shipping paperwork
Returns incomplete sheets to drivers to obtain correct information
Balances and count cash drawer daily
Prepares cash count for Night Office daily
Aids the Manifest and Supplies departments as needed
Assists the Reception department with answering phone calls as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required
Clerical or administrative experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Work requires basic computer knowledge and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phone
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
