Job Description
Overview:
Alumni and Donor Records supports the University by facilitating and receiving gifts and in the researching, recording, storage, and maintenance of constituent and contributions information. Alumni and Donor Records is responsible for the legal acknowledgment of charitable contributions and pledges to the University. Alumni and Donor Records monitors and provides financial management of outstanding pledges, unallocated and memorial funds.
Responsibilities:
Principle Duties:
Searches for new address information, business data and other biographical information using appropriate Internet tools.
Reviews Princeton Alumni Weekly (PAW) magazine for new information such as marriages, divorces, employment updates, deaths and births.
Performs other biographical research and coding projects as assigned.
Compares and reconciles data for quality controls.
Qualifications:
Skills:
Good data entry skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Strong knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office (Excel) applications.
Change-friendly attitude.
Strong work ethic and discretion in dealing with confidential information.
Ability to quickly learn OnBase Document Imaging system for document retrieval.
Ability to quickly learn fundraising system to perform inquiries and verify information.
Ideal candidates would have:
Familiarity with databases/data entry and ability to learn systems quickly.
Strong attention to detail, yet quick and productive.
Professional, friendly and personable demeanor.
Knowledge of Princeton University is a plus.
