Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Program Manager of Development and Alumni Relations for the Office of Undergraduate Studies (UGST) is an important partner in expanding the scope and impact of our fundraising efforts and relationships with its alumni, parents, friends, and donors. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) for Undergraduate Studies the Program Manager will lead and coordinate efforts to strengthen donor relationships and alumni volunteer networks, stewardship, and constituent engagement opportunities with the goal of identifying new major gift prospects and growing the major gift pipeline. The individual will collaborate with UGST program directors, the university’s central Donor Relations and Stewardship team, the Alumni Association, and other internal partners in planning, developing, and managing projects and initiatives that help in identifying, cultivating and stewarding donors, alumni, parents, and friends. Assists with planning, coordinating, and evaluating programs that promote alumni relations and educational program opportunities designed to connect alumni and donors with UGST programs. Coordinates, produces, and analyzes reports to grow annual appeal campaigns, digital outreach, donor recognition opportunities, stewardship and manages the day-to-day operations of the UGST development office.
The Program Manager is also responsible for office-wide fund and stewardship administration. This position will also work closely with department business officers, scholarship/fellowship committees and the foundation to conduct annual fund stewardship and impact reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:Education (including licenses, certifications, etc.):
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience:
Minimum of four years of relevant experience in non-profit, higher education, or related field, including fundraising, alumni affairs, communications, event planning and/or public relations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to think independently and strategically and contribute as a problem solver.
Must have superior written and oral communication skills.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Exercise discretion in working with highly confidential and sensitive information.
Knowledge of database systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks, meet deadlines and achieve goals.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people.

Salary Range is $65,888 – $82,360
This position allows for a combination of in-person and telework days as approved by the supervisor. Guidance regarding hybrid work is subject to change at any time to align with operational or business needs.

Physical Demands
Work is performed in a traditional office environment and requires the ability to operate standard equipment and keyboards. Ability to lift and transport boxes for events, move tables/chairs, etc. Access to a vehicle required. Availability to work evenings and weekends for events as necessary. Some travel, usually in the immediate College Park area, may be necessary.
