SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Training Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the organization training. Focus for this position is to focus on higher level impact of training, to ensure staff are applying what they learned in their work. Specific focus is Trauma Informed Care. Coordinates with external training resources to develop curriculum and arrange for instructors to implement agency training. Provides training as needed. Provides resources related to training in coordination with internal/external resources to help staff meet performance standards. Monitors program compliance to agency standards and identifies needs for training and mentoring. Participates in committees to improve quality of services through training. This position is responsible for setting a strategic vision for training and ensuring it is met.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.
EXPERIENCE
Over six years.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to provide training
Ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of training approaches/modalities
Knowledge of and experience with staff development and training activities including curriculum development
Experience in program management in a human service field preferred
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
