Role:
To assist the credit union in the achievement of its goal to always make a positive difference in each member's financial life. This is accomplished by providing the highest quality of service to internal/external members and planning and executing credit union events focused on strengthening the company's relationships and/or attaining planned objectives.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
While meeting the service standards of the credit union, oversee all elements of event planning to ensure successful facilitation and execution of internal and external events from initial planning through day of event. Serve as company point of contact with vendors/partners. Establish all logistics including coordinating workers, event communications, signage, supplies, setup/ teardown, etc. Research and determine venues, vendors, event theme, giveaways, etc. Negotiate pricing, engage agreements, order materials and manage all vendor relationships, as applicable.
Work directly with marketing team for event delivery as committed on the marketing calendar.
Contribute ideas and input for successful outcomes. Keep manager informed of issues that may arise affecting event that may need higher level review and/or direction.
Assist with budget process related to events; work within the assigned event budget. Maintain tracking for all costs and remit invoices for timely payment processing.
Maintain recordkeeping of event information including itemized costs, timelines, participation, noted results, etc. ensuring data points that can be evaluated post-event and be utilized for future event planning. Provide reporting or event summary as requested or as per event outcome objectives may require.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the credit union and its products/services. Seek to build relationships in anticipation of future events or sales opportunities.
Ensure events are conducted per credit union policy and procedures. Evaluate potential liability with focus on mitigation of risk and/or loss to the credit union.
Perform other duties as assigned.

3. To ensure planning and events are directed to achieve the credit union's planned market share, assets, loans, and other product/service objectives.

6. To represent the credit union and its initiatives in a professional manner.
7. To maintain a professional work environment, promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers and present a businesslike appearance.
8. To follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity to manager immediately.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-Starter and ability to work self-directed. Flexible schedule.
