ARKANSAS PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION Position: Outreach and Programs Coordinator
FLSA: Exempt
Supervisor: Director of Programs
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of APCF outreach, educational, and screening events throughout the state of Arkansas.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Within the Foundation: The Outreach Coordinator maintains collaborative relationships with the Executive Director, Director of Programs, staff, community leaders, and volunteers to coordinate outreach/program activities in the state and communicate issues in need of problem solving as they arise with supervisor and Executive Director.
Outside the Foundation: The Outreach Coordinator maintains and develops close working relationships with medical, business and community leaders, municipal agencies, media representatives and the general public to plan and coordinate education programs/outreach.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility #1: In collaboration with Director of Programs, targets Arkansas communities by county or city to schedule prostate cancer educational and screening events. With discretion and independent judgement, responds to community-based event solicitations based on current screening schedule and target goals.
Responsibility #2: With discretion and independent judgement, schedules, promotes, and oversees outreach, education, and early detection events. Position requires some Saturday and evening hours and in state travel.
Responsibility #3: Recruits volunteers statewide to implement APCF programs. Maintains volunteer database in CRM software for organization and communication. Assists Director of Programs with volunteer training and engagement events.
Responsibility # 4: Inputs outreach, education, and screening data in CRM software and spreadsheets. Assists Director of Programs with metric evaluation of outreach, education, and screening events. Tracking includes, but is not limited to, human resources, supply resources, geographical locations, demographics of screening clients, lab outcomes, and literature distribution.
Responsibility #5: Organizes and distributes promotional materials for outreach/educational events through a community-partner promotional toolkit that includes social media, press release, and radio content.
Responsibility #6: Manages and executes APCF’s internal promotion efforts for all events through mass emails, mass text, postcards, church flyers, social media posts, and website events page. Assists Director of Programs with legislature and local municipal leader communication for events that serve their constituents.
Responsibility #7: Works closely with the APCF staff to ensure all literature is up to date and in stock. Responsible for maintaining the stock of all APCF literature.
Responsibility #8: Ensures APCF literature is distributed to appropriate facilities such as libraries, hospitals, pharmacies, physician’s offices, churches, health agencies, health care providers, barbershops, beauty shops, and others. Maintains all data entry of those distributions.
Responsibility #9: Provides education/outreach content for web site to website administrator.
Responsibility #10: Assists the Director of Programs and Executive Director with other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, business, or related field. Three to five years of experience in a health-related field and/or nonprofit organization preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Ability to recruit, manage and motivate volunteers. Program development & design, project management, and CRM software experience preferred.

Pay: $33,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
