Job Description
Kiefer Automotive Group is seeking a full time Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team at our Corporate Headquarters in Eugene, Oregon!
Purpose
Performs full cycle payroll processing activities, including balancing and processing payroll, inspecting and balancing automated payroll output such as deduction registers and standard reports and the processing of involuntary deductions such as levies, garnishments, bankruptcies and child support. Serves as a contact for all team members and vendors with regard to payroll processes, questions, and concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Function
ADP Workforce Now timecard reconciliation and processing
Reconcile commission, bonus, and flat rate pay calculations with reports from Accounting System (DealerTrack)
Process:
Semi-monthly payroll and interim payroll checks
terminations and transferred employees
garnishments, one-time overrides and adjustments
reconciling all tax deposits ADP processes related to payroll
tuition and education reimbursements
payroll posting and expensing in accounting system
Conduct internal and external audits related to payroll function
Prorate salary, commissions and bonus pay according to policy
Provide world class customer service to internal and external customers
Live check distribution
Participate in W2 compilation, processing, and distribution
Works closely with HR to ensure compliance with state and federal payroll laws
Required Qualifications
Associate degree
Payroll, Accounts payable and receivable experience a positive
Excellent keyboard skills and 10-key by touch
Ability to work efficiently with a great deal of speed and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Maintain the highest ethical standards in dealing with confidential information
Must be multi-task oriented, meet deadlines, work under pressure and work with frequently changing priorities
Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
Payroll and accounting experience
ADP Workforce proficiency
Multi-state payroll processing experience
Highly proficient in Excel
