Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Server III, you will be responsible for setting the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
Assist guest with food and beverage selection by presenting menu, offer cocktails and aperitifs, suggest courses, explain Chef's specialties, identify appropriate wine and answer food preparation questions
Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
Ring sales, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
Keep work area clean and stocked; prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Able to function and act independently
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
