About Psychiatry Northwest
Psychiatry Northwest is building one of Washington’s leading psychiatry outpatient practices specializing in Adult ADD/ADHD, Treatment-Resistant Depression and Anxiety. Our practice is owned by Dr. Jesse McClelland, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a special interest in adult ADD / ADHD.
This position provides a variety of office and administrative support services including reception, verification of insurance benefits, scheduling, reminder calls for the next day appointment, check-in and check-out appointments and other general office duties.
- Greet patients and visitors professionally, using appropriate tone, being pleasant and courteous at all times.
- Answer multiple phone lines, directing calls, taking messages
- Interact effectively and positively with patients, coworkers, and external clients at all times.
- Coordinate communication and information with other departments. Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Navigate through software systems including AdvancedMD, Microsoft Office, and our patient web portal.
- Schedule/cancel/reschedule an appointment according to a patient’s request and/or scheduling guidelines.
- Maintain schedule accuracy by reviewing the schedule in advance and provide feedbacks to Providers and team members
- Verify and update patient’s demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for scheduled visits
- Identify, collect, and post co-payment and fees.
- Enroll patient to Patient Web Portal.
- Check patients in and out for appointments including scheduling future appointment as instructed.
- Scan and file patient visit paperwork into the E.H.R throughout the day
- Make reminder calls to patients for next day appointment and document in AdvancedMD E.H.R
- Process No Show letter and implement No Show Policy process as needed. Document in AdvancedMD.
- Notify patients who are due for service by using Recall system.
- Accept and complete inbox and Patient Portal tasking from Clinical Team and Patient Portal for assistance with scheduling appointment and other necessary communication between providers and patients.
- Document patient communication in AdvancedMD EHR and assign task to appropriate staff and/or departments for follow-up
- Prepare next day and 7 days schedule for emergency preparedness.
- Post clinic closure sign for holidays and/or meetings
- Assist with patient’s complaints/grievances and provide satisfactory resolution.
- Contribute to team effort by achieving satisfactory results.
- Education - High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience - Two years’ experience in a health care setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.'
