Job Description
Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a passionate, detailed-oriented problem-solver to serve as an Entry-level Model-Based Systems Engineer to support the Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonics Test Bed (MACH-TB) Flight Test Program as part of the Hypersonics and Advanced Materials Division. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The focus of the MACH-TB Program is to develop rapid cadence, affordable flight-testing capabilities to quickly advance the hypersonic glide vehicle Technology Readiness Level. As an integral member of the MACH-TB Team, the successful candidate will leverage digital engineering and systems engineering practices and tools, especially CAMEO, Modelcenter and Syndeia, to identify challenges and formulate candidate solutions within complex, highly interdependent hardware systems and programs. The Entry-level MBSE will assist in development and implementation of the Systems Engineering Master Plan (SEMP), assist in managing all deliverable processes, plans, documents, and map requirements from specification to verification methods. The engineer will work under the direction of the Lead MBSE in application of systems engineering standard processes and best practices to an existing workflow to efficiently:
Derive System requirements from Task Order, Specifications and Test Plans
Provide verification and traceability of deliverables back to System Requirements
Identify, track, plan and execute mitigations of program risks
Participate in development of a complex digital engineering model which will be used to optimize planning and scheduling of hypersonic technology testing
Assist in development of test plans and process improvements
Facilitate configuration management of the technical data package
Develop and maintain a clear understanding of overall system interdependencies and interfaces
Implement creative solutions to ensure program requirements are upheld
Mitigate and resolve risks
Perform other related job duties as required
Travel to supplier sites as required (up to 20%)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Systems Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with less than 2 years applicable experience and minimum GPA of 3.2
Experience with CAMEO, Modelcenter, or Syndeia
Understanding of system level requirements derivation and verification
Ability to stay focused and succeed in dynamic and fast paced environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Organizational skills to document work and interface with team members to ensure flow of information

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
