Job Description
Primary Focus
The General Clerk III will be responsible for sorting, entering data, scanning, filing, and Inventorying packages and CITES permits. All duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse Holdings.
Job Responsibilities
· Accurately enters all data fields into LEMIS in an efficient and timely manner.
· Enter data into LEMIS from handwritten/manual submitted declarations and/or CITES permits.
· As each DEC is entered into LEMIS, legibly write the LEMIS-generated confirmation number.
· Correct any data entry errors.
· Ensures scanned documents contain all information and are legible. Completes scans efficiently.
· Scan the complete DEC package and CITES permit in .pdf or .tif format, using the LEMIS-generated control number as the point of reference.
· Scan all DECs and CITES permits within 60 days of receipt.
· Upload scanned DEC files into the “Upload DOC” section in LEMIS by associating the scanned file with the appropriate DEC control number in the computer system.
· Upload scanned plant CITES permits into the Plant CITES Permit Repository module in LEMIS.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
· US Citizenship
· Must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
· Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
· Ability to read and write in English.
· Ability to perform typing and word processing.
· Effective oral skills
· Effective written communication skills
· Must possess problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
· Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.

Working Conditions
· Professional office environment
· Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
· Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
· Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
· Ability to perform administrative duties for an extended period of time. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of the duties.
· May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
