Job Purpose and Function

Wills Group is seeking an energetic, passionate, and creative individual to join our growing team as our Campaign and Events Marketing Manager. Join us and help ignite our brand recognition, community connection, and unbeatable customer experience for our Dash In convenience stores and fueling stations and our Splash In ECO Car Wash. As the Campaign and Events Marketing Manager, your mission will be to plan, execute, and elevate campaigns and events that will leave our customers dashing with delight and splashing with joy! Prepare to connect and engage with our communities with exciting events and captivating campaigns that showcase our convenience retail, fuels, and car wash brands both face-to-face and on-screen.
How You’ll Make an Impact (Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It)
- Marketing Maestro: Develop innovative campaign and promotional strategies that captivate our target audiences, boost attendance and engagement at our events, and get people excited about what we have “in store” – literally! Ensure our campaigns reach every corner of our communities, captivating attention in new and existing markets to drive footfall to our Dash In convenience stores and fueling locations and our Splash In ECO Car Wash sites.
- Event Champion: Organize and coordinate memorable events, including Grand Openings (GOs) for our new retail locations, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing customer engagement in collaboration with our partners.
- Project Pro: Act as project manager for campaigns and events, facilitating clear and open communication channels between all stakeholders. Keep everyone informed, aligned, and motivated to achieve shared goals while providing guidance and support to partners, helping them navigate the complexities of project management.
- Collab Conductor: Work closely and strategically with internal and external partners on campaigns and events that enable a strong introduction to new products and within new markets in a way that makes our customers want to dash in #rightnow. Act as the main point of contact for external partners involved in campaign and event execution, building strong harmonious relationships.
- Data Whisperer: Analyze campaign and event performance using data-driven insights. Identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to continually elevate the impact of our efforts.
- Budget Wizard: Manage campaign and event budgets with meticulous precision. Get the most out of every dollar and ensure that our celebrations deliver a bang for the buck, making budget management recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred; alternatively, equivalent progressive experience.
- 5 or more years of combined experience in campaign management, events management, and project management required; focused experience in retail, QSR, restaurant and/or retail marketing strongly preferred.
- Strong demonstrated ability with the following industry technologies, software, and platforms required:
- Analytical tools; Power BI preferred.
- Project management tools; Asana preferred.
- Microsoft Office 365: Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Some demonstrated ability with the following technologies, software, and platforms, preferred:
- Social media: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, and more.
- Social media management: Sprout Social preferred; Hootsuite and others also considered.
- Design: Photoshop required; other Adobe Creative Suite tools, Illustrator, InDesign, Spark, Premiere Pro strongly preferred.
- Creative Genius: You have a creative mind that can conjure up unique ideas that surprise and engage our customers. We’re looking for someone who can turn an ordinary campaign or event into the talk of the town!
- Multi-tasker Master: Juggle multiple projects and events seamlessly. You’re a master at handling the hustle and bustle of competing timelines and priorities.
- Communication Guru: You possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the exceptional ability to captivate any audience.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data and extracting insights to drive informed decision-making. Ability to monitor and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and events, making recommendations for improvement.
- Detail Driven: Nothing gets past you! You have an eagle eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of our campaigns and events is flawlessly executed.

- Role requires flexibility of schedule and ability to travel in personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement available for eligible travel.
- Core hours – Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM ET; occasional activities through 7 PM ET weekdays.
- Hybrid schedule – average of 2-3 days per week in-office at our La Plata, MD headquarters, visiting our retail sites, and/or attending events with the remainder remote; core in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday.
- Regular travel – to retail sites for events 1-2 times per month, occasionally for 2-3 consecutive days.
- Occasional travel and/or overnight stays - to company and industry events, training, and/or conferences; reimbursement available for eligible travel expenses and/or accommodations.
