Description:
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Patient Registration & Data Entry Representative to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Life Labs located at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for ensuring accurate registration and ordering for patients presenting to the collection site. Accurately processes laboratory test requests by entering or selecting test orders, verifying insurance and billing information, and updating files. Answers the phone to address patient or client inquiries, providing excellent customer service. Performs a variety of miscellaneous clerical duties.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of sciences, simple medical procedures or terminology and/or experience with office equipment.
Experience: Data entry, patient scheduling/registration, medical office experience preferred.
Skills: Work requires the analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex. Ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies, and / or relay messages to appropriate personnel. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required. Ability to identify and assess problems and develop and implement solutions in a non-confrontational manner is essential. Work requires basic computer skills and the ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
