Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Social Media Supervisor will oversee paid social strategy development in partnership with the Integrated Media Planner and Associate Media Director. They are responsible for supporting the planning team to construct campaigns while stewarding partner relationships and being the resident expert across accounts. They will also possess in-platform experience for setting up and activating social campaigns at the agency and ensuring all tagging requirements are implemented in partnering with client and agency Ad Ops teams. They will have their finger on the pulse of a rapidly changing landscape and will represent the agency as the resident social media landscape-platform expert.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confers with the Media Planner, Associate Media Director, and/or Account Services to understand the client’s media objectives to establish campaign KPIs
Hands-on keyboard activation specialist, responsible for all key in platform actions including campaign setup, activation, and in-campaign optimizations
Presents market research, performance reports, strategies, campaign updates and tactical planning decks to clients and internal teams via in-person and virtual meetings
Proactively educates clients and agency on social trends and insights
Partners with client and agency Ad Ops teams to ensure campaign tracking is in place within standard activation timelines
Assists in translating client business objectives to strategic frameworks that can deliver tangible results to move their business forward
Consults with the media planning team to evaluate best/optimum use of budgeted funds to achieve marketing and sales objectives, and to develop the client's channel mix
Delegates to and works with junior staff on daily tasks to grow their knowledge base and expand individual management skills
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree required
1.5-3+years of Social Media experience developing and presenting strategies
3-5+ years executing and optimizing paid social ad campaigns in-platform
Strong mathematical abilities required in this position
Lives and breathes social media
Strong organizational skills
Can work autonomously with the ability to manage up and down to staff
Must be able to occasionally travel to supported markets or client events
Has client-facing experience
