Job Description
We are seeking an AR Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will work alongside the other specialists to handle full-cycle, high-volume AR. We are seeking an entry level, highly motivated and organized individual, ideally with creative problem solving skills. Specific Responsibilities
- Manages revenues by processing invoices, posting payment receipts and reconciling customer accounts.
- Processes and submits all invoices on time according to builder deadlines.
- Reviews all invoices for proper GL coding and job costing.
- Manages customer and vendor lien releases.
- Posts cash receipts in a timely manner to ensure accurate aging data.
- Validates payment deductions, if any.
- Reviews the accounts receivable aging report weekly and monitors lien rights.
- Identifies account discrepancies and past due accounts.
- Collaborates with Contract Admin to research price discrepancies.
- Notifies customers of delinquent accounts or insufficient payments and obtains payment status.
- Collaborates with Operations Management to file lien documents as necessary.
- Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Closes jobs/projects in accounting software.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline (work experience will be considered in lieu of degree in one of these areas)
- Construction experience is a plus
- Strong accounting system capabilities and ability to learn new software quickly,
- Google Suite experience preferred
