Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Business Systems Analyst with a background in technology, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and designing solutions to meet those requirements. They will also be responsible for testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and systems to improve business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Develop detailed requirements and use cases for software development projects
- Conduct research to identify new technologies and methods to improve business processes
- Analyze and troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation such as user manuals, training materials, and technical specifications
- Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities
- Communicate project status and progress to team members and stakeholders
- Provide support to end-users and resolve issues in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in technology, or a closely related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and programming languages
- Experience with software testing and quality assurance
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
- Familiarity with data modeling and data analysis techniques
- Understanding of software development tools such as JIRA, Git, or SVN.
