Job Description
Position Summary
Supporting the Intranet Product Manager, the Content Manager works collaboratively with the Digital Strategy team and our customers to ensure that system wide intranet supports business goals, care team members and internal marketing communications strategies.
The Content Manager is the primary point person for our MaineHealth Intranet content management system (CMS) — fielding daily requests from across the organization and managing projects such as site provisioning, site building, content updates, governance, web accessibility, content migrations, search management and more.
The Content Manager uses our CMS system (SharePoint Online) and site/page templates, web parts and native features to create high-quality user experiences. The Content Manager applies basic taxonomy, UX and responsive design principles to make it as easy as possible for site users to resolve to their content queries. Other responsibilities include document and media file management, building and managing web forms, simple design tasks using the Adobe Creative Suite, basic content creation and editing.
Experience with Content Management Systems required. SharePoint Online experience is a plus.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, with an emphasis in digital media, marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of digital content management experience. Experience with health care content is preferred.
Basic understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS, responsive design, Bootstrap or Foundation as well as use of browser developer tools required.
Demonstrated affinity for technology. Proficiency in Office365 applications, Adobe Photoshop for compressing and resizing image files, and video conferencing platforms required. Familiarity with Screaming Frog, Slack, Google Data Studio, Zendesk, and Workfront preferred. Basic web design (infographics, charts, graphs, call-outs, etc.), search engine marketing & optimization, and AP Style guide knowledge preferred.
Strong content editing skills and familiarity with web content readability best practices. Web content creation and writing skills preferred.
Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple project simultaneously.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, clearly document procedures, and synthesize and present data.
Ability to demonstrate a collaborative mindset and work on a team as well as independently. Must be able to work successfully in a virtual work environment
