Job Description
Verrill is actively reviewing resumes for a Marketing Manager in our Portland, Maine office. The Marketing Manager is a fulltime, exempt position responsible for overseeing and managing Verrill’s day-to-day marketing efforts. As the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Business Development to develop and execute marketing strategies that support Verrill’s overall business objectives while adhering to a budget.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supporting business development initiatives and assisting with materials for pitches and proposals; overseeing marketing components of the onboarding and offboarding process for employees; managing public relations and communications, marketing materials, digital marketing, events, sponsorships, memberships, and award submissions and nominations; tracking and measuring the success of campaigns; and providing data-based recommendations to the Director of Marketing and Business Development.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, with a proven track record of managing successful marketing programs. A Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience and/or equivalent combination, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. Demonstrated knowledge of marketing-related software (i.e., customer relationship management (CRM), content management systems (CMS), social media) is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various diverse departments and offices, while prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and accomplishing goals.
