Job Description
Travels to area municipalities in and around Northern (Fort Wayne) Indiana and Southern Michigan markets performing demonstrations of Fire Hydrant and Valve functionality and use. We are looking for anyone with a strong work ethic, good attitude, and can work autonomously with little direction once trained.
Michigan Water License, an engineering background, and / or municipal / utility experience preferred. Potential candidates are asked to pass a pre-employment drug screening, complete a physical examination and a criminal background check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extensive travel to the following Michigan and Indiana counties and territories:
- Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, Branch, Hillsdale, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Jackson, Laporte, Elkhart, LaGrange
- Occasional overnight travel will be required.
· OSHA 10 Hour
· Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Showcasing and demonstrating product, and how to troubleshoot
- Working trade shows
- Providing “boot camps” educating customers and employees
· Mechanical aptitude
· Cold calling, setting appointments with decision makers, and assisting with creating submittals, takeoffs, and proposals
POSITION COMPETENCIES / JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be 18 years old
· Pass Pre-Employment Checks
· Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
· Physical requirements include frequent lifting of up to 75 lbs.
· Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling is required
