JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We work hard to provide the best level of customer service to our internal and external customers. Join our fantastic accounting team and be part of something special! This is an entry-level position. Proficiency in basic accounting functions, Microsoft Excel, and CDK is preferred.
Post invoices/payments, reconcile statements, maintain schedules, and month end accounting requirements.
Monitor and reconcile customer accounts, initiate collection activities on aging accounts when necessary.
Reconcile and post daily deposits. Take deposits to the bank as needed.
Collaborate with Parts, Sales, Service Departments to investigate and resolve AR issues.
Prepare AR reporting, print and mail customer AR statements.
Scan and archive invoices
Train front-line staff in cash/payment handling and when necessary.
Maintain/order office supplies, order business cards.
Prioritize work to meet deadlines and ensure critical tasks are completed.
Operate multiple computer applications, phone system, and other office equipment.
Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Prior to being employed, applicants for employment must participate in RBM’s normal screening process which includes: completing a full employment application; satisfactory criminal, credit and driving records checks (where applicable); in-person interviews and other inquiries.
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
Basic communication and problem solving skills; basic mathematical skills using American units of measure.
Experience using CDK and automotive accounting practices is preferred but not required.
Experience working with double-entry general ledger accounting is preferred.
Physical activities include: remain stationary for long periods of time, operate office equipment, and repetitive motion.
