Job Description
Position: Activities Director
Reports to: Administrator
The Activities Director plans, organizes, and implements all facility-sponsored activity programs for the residents. The Activities Director is responsible for social services and marketing duties as assigned by the Administrator; performs any other job duty as assigned by the Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops, plans, organizes and implements resident activities in cooperation with appropriate resident support groups and facility departments.
2. Consults and works with other departments in developing appropriate activities as they relate to the physical, emotional and social needs of the individual residents.
3. Coordinates resident activities and programs, which are sponsored by community groups.
4. Develops plans and coordinates facility volunteer program.
5. Purchases supplies and other material for the activity department, within budget.
6. Works closely with other departments to maximize level of functioning for facility residents.
7. Maintains appropriate records of resident socialization.
8. Prepares and distributes a monthly activity calendar.
9. Ensures activity areas are well maintained.
10. Assists with assessments, orientation, and marketing duties as requested.
11. Keeps supervisor informed of department needs.
12. Drives residents to appointments as needed

11. Ability to transport residents to and from appointments and activities using a facility vehicle.
12. Maintain current driver’s license.
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to take the COVID vaccine. Experience working with the elderly and appropriate activity interventions; Knowledge of regulations affecting resident activities; Ability to work with wide range of persons;
Access to community services; Marketing skills.
Universal Precautions:
Exposure to blood/bodily fluid is not likely.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30 pounds routinely. Ability to ambulate residents safely.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
