Job Description
The accountant will assist with all responsibilities of the AP Department. Will help resolve A/P issues, process expense reports and match, batch, and code invoices, matching documents and filing. This position requires a very organized person who can handle a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines. This position requires punctual and committed attendance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Enter invoices in the computer
- Ensure that sufficient backup is obtained before invoices are entered
- Assist suppliers and internal departments to resolve problems.
- Maintain internal vendor files
- Research, file, and help in other accounting areas as needed
- Assist with job budgeting and coding
- Verify bank information and address changes with suppliers
- Maintain credit card accounts
- Ensure proper filing of paperwork
- Obtain and track W-9 forms and insurance certificates

Education / Experience Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is desirable or Equivalent and comparable AP experience
Other Qualifications:
· Should be willing to subject to background check
· Minimum 2 years’ experience or New College Graduates are welcomed

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
