If you are an Electrical Engineering Student looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, MO location, we are accepting applications from candidates who are starting a career in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering Technology.
AS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CO-OP, YOU WILL:
Perform electrical testing & data collection
Conduct functional analysis of both prototype and assembly circuitry
Debug both assemblies and specific circuits that do not match design criteria
Find correlation between simulated/calculated data and test data
Curve fitting this data by constructing a curve, or mathematical function, that has the best fit to a series of data points
Develop methods to optimize the time required to analyze this data
Assist with higher-fidelity characterization tasks involved with our zero-speed sensorless algorithms
Assist with other general engineering tasks as directed by supervisor
WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related field
Ability to work 40 hours per week during the scheduled semester
Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking
Excellent verbal, and written communication
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering Technology
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
Sophomore or higher class status preferred
Completion of at least one Electrical Engineering lab class is preferred
Experience utilizing Matlab for data analysis
Familiarization with the operation of digital oscilloscopes, function generators, low voltage dc supplies, and digital volt meters is preferred
Experience using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
