Confidence Learning Center
Title: Event & Marketing Director
Confidence Learning Center is a non-profit 501c3 organization just outside of Brainerd Minnesota with a mission to provide “a year round outdoor education and experience for persons with cognitive and developmental disabilities” . Over the past 50 years of serving campers we have relied heavily on community support through events and local fundraising. Candidates for the Marketing and Events Director position should have a successful track record of organizing events and volunteers, public speaking, and creation of marketing materials.
Responsibilities:
- Relationship building through meetings and personal connections, for current and potential partnerships for events and/or organization as a whole.
- Lead all event and/or marketing committee meetings.
- Effectively manage department budget, event specific budgets, & event timelines.
- Maintain Community Relationships through attendance of outside groups such as Rotary, BNI, Chamber, etc…
- Effectively identify, recruit, and solicit sponsorships and/or donations to organizations or events.
- Identify new partnership prospects for various roles at camp (e.g. event partnerships, sponsorships, committee members etc…)
- Assist with securing and reporting on grants and special programs.
- Coordinate registration and lodging for special programs/retreats
- Coordinate marketing timelines and specific goals to be met quarterly / yearly for purpose of brand development and identity
- Review all events purposefully to ensure the right fit for organization while thoroughly documenting all aspects of event planning and community relationships.
- Maintain and continuously update marketing branding efforts needed to promote organization
- Logistic lead for events
- Maintain and update donor, partner & vendor contact lists
- Inventory and order event products, supplies, and gifts
Requirements:
- Highly organized with an ability to manage resources, budgets and onsite personnel
- Strong communication and public speaking skills – written and oral
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- You are creative, innovative, with the ability to calmly solve problems.
- Confident with a dynamic personality and ability to “think on your feet”
- Capable of standing comfortably for up to eight hours a day, lifting 30lbs, working long hours during events and occasional evening commitments
- Respectful, team-oriented attitude ready to execute change and growth within organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
