Job Description
Staff Accountant
You come to work every day, but when you’re honest with yourself you don’t really enjoy what you do. You’re not learning. Your ideas and suggestions aren’t really listened to. You know you have so much more to offer.
As a result, you’ve decided to make a change. Not, just any change, however. You’d like to find a new accounting position that lets you feel that sense of accomplishment. You want to be part of the decisions that are made within the firm. You value being mentored and trained by an experienced, senior accountant. You want to learn. One of your core beliefs is to continue to grow professionally and personally.
Why I Started My CPA Practice
When I started my business years ago, I wanted to build a business that I would want to work in. I didn’t, however, want to just create another CPA practice; I wanted to build something special. It would center around culture, community, and caring.
For the past 13 years, my company Randall W. Faber, CPA, PS, has been fulfilling my desire to help businesses and individuals reach their financial and life goals.
I’m very proud of what our small team has built and the wonderful clients we serve in so many unique industries. We’re actively involved every day with our clients. To ensure we help our clients achieve their goals, I personally believe in training and developing each person on the team. It’s been so rewarding to watch them grow personally, as well as, professionally over the years.
As the owner, I’ve also worked at creating a culture that’s fun and supportive. This includes being part of our local community.
What We’re Looking For: Staff Accountant
We’re looking for a staff accountant to join our team. The position will focus on tax preparation and accounting services for the firm’s clients that are involved in numerous, exciting industries.
To be successful, here’s some key skills you already have.
Experience: Accounting degree
Accounting Software: Basic awareness of industry standard software programs
Analytical: Ongoing curiosity to identify possible solutions that will solve problems
Organized: Highly efficient with an ability to multitask and effectively manage time
Communication: understanding the importance of clarity in all communication
So, Why Do You Want To Apply?
There’s a lot of reasons. Here’s a few of them.
1/ Mentoring: You’ll be working directly with the owner who has been practicing for over 30 years. He will be teaching, mentoring, and sharing his experience with you daily. He has high expectations, but that’s okay, as you like to be challenged.
2/ Technology: We utilize cloud-based technologies both internally and to serve our clients. This helps us to be effective and efficient. If you don’t know all of them, we’ll teach you.
3/ Good Location: We’re in Lynnwood, which is an easier commute than Seattle or the Eastside. In a few years the light rail will be very close to our office.
4/ Grow Personally & Professionally – You’re going to grow. We’ll work together to create a customized training plan, and review it together, so you’ll develop new skills.
If you’re interested in discussing this further, contact us. This might be the type of position and practice you’ve been looking for. You know you deserve better - a wonderful position with a terrific culture and a bright future.
