Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
The Network and Telephony Administrator role will work collaboratively with different teams and departments within USCB’s Information Technology Services and Support department to plan, design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex networking systems. The administrator will be responsible for the entire management lifecycle for network and network-based service infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to: routing, switching, WiFi, and telephony. Salary commensurate with education and experience but subject to available funding.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 3 years experience in computer operations or a related data processing field; or equivalency. Additionally, a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or an Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) certification is required within the first six months of employment. Failure to successfully complete the certification process will result in separation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an IT Service Desk environment. Previous customer service experience, that includes requirements gathering and implementation, is a plus. A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or an Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) certification is strongly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of moderately complex computing and networking methodologies and technologies. Knowledge of networking needs in a virtual environment. Strong planning and project management skills. Experience in systems administration including servers and desktops. Knowledge of capacity planning, monitoring tools, and mobile device management. Knowledge of local and wide area routing protocols, traffic shapers, and firewalls. Must have excellent communication skills, a strategic vision, strong problem-solving abilities, and direct experience in: switching and networking protocols, WiFi design/implementation/management, and telephony design/implementation/management.
