Job Description
The IT Specialist will be the primary point of contact for IT related issues, focusing on establishing and maintaining the company technology environment. This role will require hands-on experience in basic troubleshooting, hardware and software configuration, managing Microsoft licenses, and drafting documentation for internal procedures. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Main Interface Between CORYS Inc. and its IT vendors:
- Serve as the primary communication link between the two companies for all IT-related matters.
- Facilitate discussions about IT projects, changes, and system integration efforts.
- Handle any technical issues or queries raised by CORYS Inc., providing timely and appropriate solutions.
2. Specification and Requisition of In-house HW and SW:
- Identify, specify, and requisition necessary hardware and software, including new servers or systems, to meet company needs.
- Collaborate with vendors to secure high-quality, cost-effective technology solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technology trends and make appropriate recommendations for system improvements.
3. Configuration and Troubleshooting of HW and SW:
- Perform configuration, setup, and basic troubleshooting of hardware and software.
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth integration and performance of all IT systems.
- Handle any issues related to system performance, software updates, or hardware failures.
4. Manage Microsoft Licenses:
- Oversee the purchase, distribution, and maintenance of Microsoft software licenses.
- Ensure compliance with Microsoft's licensing terms and conditions.
- Advise on licensing requirements and ensure the company makes cost-effective license decisions.
5. Coordinate In-house HW with Warehouse Manager:
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to manage the lifecycle of hardware assets.
- Ensure timely delivery and installation of hardware.
- Assist in inventory management and control of IT hardware.
6. Maintain Assets list and Record-keeping:
- Oversee and maintain the SpendMap system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets.
- Track and report on IT expenditure.
- Regularly review and analyze SpendMap data to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
7. Documentation and Project Support:
- Draft and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, including procedural manuals, service reports, and more.
- Provide support in various other projects, such as assembling and installing computers.
- Ensure proper documentation of project progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in IT, with a focus on hardware and software management. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome.
- Familiarity with Microsoft licensing and SpendMap or similar spend management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Applicants must be willing to work on-site.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
