Job Description
This role is responsible for leading the marketing and communications programs for our independent (IFN) and career (1847Financial) distribution channels. In conjunction with the distribution channel heads, this role will develop the marketing strategy to provide best in class support to the field while upholding Penn Mutual’s brand and reputation. This role will lead Financial Professional (FP) communications, graphic design, branding, field marketing and oversee the digital marketing strategy, technology and implementation.
Position Expectations
Working in collaboration with IFN and 1847Financial leaders, develop and implement an integrated branding, financial professional communications and marketing strategy to impact the recruitment of financial professionals, promote product knowledge, and advance Penn Mutual’s brand to drive sales.
Lead the digital marketing technology strategy including marketing tools, vendor solutions, digital assets to provide comprehensive, integrated marketing solutions to drive a best in class user experience.
Oversee the Gateway intranet site to provide timely, relevant and impactful communications, marketing content and information to our Financial Professionals.
Develop the field communications strategy and drive implementation to ensure clarity and connection of messages to the company strategy, priorities and culture.
Develop the field social media strategy and oversee implementation to promote a consistent and impactful social media presence on various platforms.
Partner with Product Marketing to ensure timely delivery of product marketing materials and communications to the field.
Strategize with the Advanced Markets team to deliver targeted marketing and drive implementation of advanced markets marketing content and programs.
Develop and oversee marketing metrics to measure success of various marketing programs and strategies.
Identify external trends, challenges and opportunities facing Penn Mutual, and their implications for current strategies and plans. Partner with distribution leadership to define and implements solutions to support/address.
Lead and develop a high performing team of marketing professionals.
Collaborate extensively across our distribution channels as well as home office departments.
Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
Remains current in profession and industry trends.
Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
A minimum of 10 years life insurance industry field marketing experience is required.
Proven ability to develop and execute on a comprehensive field marketing strategy.
Technical experience across all digital channels, including experience optimizing SEO and paid digital media.
Education/Licenses/Professional Designations
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (or similar discipline) required

Salary Range - $150,000 - $180,000
