Job Description
Job Overview:
As an Audio Visual Systems Engineer at Mechdyne, you'll apply creative thinking to developing and designing audio/visual connectivity for current and future clients by understanding the project requirements, selecting components, and completing detailed drawings for system assembly.
What You'll Do:
- Design, specify, and document audiovisual, conferencing, control system switching, and tracking/interface systems for projects.
- Assist with customer site visits and aid with installation and end-user training.
- Compile and maintain Bill of Materials for project designs.
- Develop documentation and associated drawings that educate the customer on necessary specifications to support systems.
- Address on-site integration challenges for project completion while maintaining system functionality and Mechdyne quality.
- Perform troubleshooting to audio visual equipment.
- Pursue, recommend, and implement new methods, processes, and materials/equipment for improvement.
- Create audio Digital Signal Processor program and calibrate audio levels during staging and installation.
- Assist with audio, video, control, and other subsystem staging, installation, and integration tasks.
- Test and evaluate the latest in cutting-edge virtual reality, visualization, and advanced audio/visual technology.
- Travel as needed for both foreign and domestic projects.
Power Skills You'll Bring:
- Computer hardware and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities at one time.
Qualifications That Will Set You Apart:
- 2 or 4 year degree or certification in computer, broadcast, electrical, aerospace, or network engineering/design or related fields.
- 3+ years Audio/Video or telecommunications experience.
- AVIXA CTS certification or equivalent.
