We are seeking an experienced insights professional to become the Global Associate Director of Human Intelligence – Gum & Mints Portfolio. This role will play a critical role in transforming the category, defining the Portfolio strategy and uncovering growth opportunities. This person will be a key partner on developing the strategy and growth agenda with the Portfolio team. You will bring a deeper understanding of global consumers and ensure that the overall brand & business strategy is anchored in holistic human insights.
A top performer in this role will be a motivated, self-starter with 8+ years of insights experience, possess strong thought leadership and proven ability to develop business strategy, influence leaders and cross-functional teams around the world. This person needs to successfully manage ambiguity, understand the vision and with a high level of comfort, navigate the transformational journey. A strong proficiency in custom market research, syndicated data analysis, and secondary research resources will lead to great success in the role. You will lead global insights projects, so experience working with other countries and a passion to understand all cultures is critical.
What are we looking for?
Degree in Marketing / Consumer/Shopper Insights / Market Research or related field
8+ years experience in marketing and/or consumer/shopper insights and market research (preferably in CPG)
Experience working in global markets with a proven ability to effectively operation and influence cross-functionally
Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
8+ years of Brand and Innovation Insights experience
Experience building business / portfolio strategy is required
Measurement Experience for both traditional & digital media required
Serving as the voice of the consumer to influence brand building experience.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Generate and proactively drive deployment of deep category & human insights to drive consumer recruitment & sharpen the Gum & Mints portfolio & brand strategy to help build a portfolio of distinctive brands.
Serve as a strong thought partner to the Portfolio VP, collaborate with cross functional teams to understand their unstated needs and identify the gaps that will help to sustain and drive growth for the business.
Own the overall development, prioritization and activation of the global portfolio learning plan to address knowledge gaps in support of consumer recruitment & growth goals.
Prioritize and drive initiatives that will recruit new consumers to the Gum & Mints portfolio including deep consumer understanding, competitive & category analysis, and evolved measurement.
Be a strategic partner in shaping future growth trajectory for the Mars Wrigley Gum & Mints business globally through human centricity and connecting dots across a variety of data sources to guide the future 3-5 years for the Portfolio.
Integrate demand segmentation insights into the portfolio strategy through close partnerships with strategy, category, shopper, and portfolio team to identify human-centric growth priorities.
Develop strong partnership & collaboration with regional Human Intelligence partners across the organization.
Embed Consumer Journey to translates strategic objectives to key consumer problems to be solved.
Manage the market research budget for the Gum & Mints Portfolio
