Job Description

Benefits Coordinator
Provides support to the Senior Benefits Manager in maintaining day-to-day administration of employee benefits in HRIS database and FMLA business processes.
Assists with daily maintenance of benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in HRIS system for payroll processing including late noticed terminations and enrollments
Provides customer service to employees with health, dental, vision, life and other benefit related questions, as well as assist with claims issues via telephone, email and in person service
Prepare regular benefit reports extracting data from the HRIS system
Manages monthly Insurance billing spreadsheets, by data preparation, data entry, and reconciliation
Ensures employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related programs
Provide assistance to employees with online enrollment via the electronic enrollment tool Workforce1
Assists with annual Open Enrollment including materials preparation, benefit presentations, enrollment assist, reporting, and auditing
Ensure distribution of required benefit employee notices, mailings and insurance cards delivery including termination letters for portability and conversion of voluntary policies including term life policies
Manage all leave requests with employees and communicate approval to supervisors for all leave of absences requests including Family Medical Leave Act requests as well as personal leaves
Acquire and track all medical/legal documents required for all leaves and maintain confidentiality
Process and communicate "Return to Work" requirements to employees and supervisors/managers to ensure a smooth process
Support HR Coordinator with front desk operation and walk-in traffic
Requirements
3+years' experience of solid benefit experience in a high volume environment
High degree of computer usage in Microsoft Office
Strong multi-tasking skills
Attention to detail
Public speaking is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources Management with concentration in benefits preferred or 3-5 years of related experience
Compensation
Starting wage $20.00-$25.00/hr. based on experience
