Job Description
Job Summary
The HR Systems Manager is a key leadership role and is responsible for ensuring innovative, efficient, and accurate delivery of HR technology services and related processes across the Ahtna family of companies. This position directly manages the Ahtna Employee Center (the organization’s HR enterprise system) and is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, budgeting, project coordination, and management for the development of cost-effective HR technologies while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business technology needs within the HR organization. This position is also responsible for analyzing and directing all functional-related activities within the scope of all technology utilized within the Human Resources department. This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization. The HR System Manager ensures data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and creating and analyzing data workflows for process improvement opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field of study. Experience may substitute for education on a 1:1 basis
- Five years’ experience working with HR technologies.
- Expertise in all facets of HR System infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
- Strong computer skills, with advanced knowledge and experience in Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos, Microsoft Office Suite, database, and Human Resource Systems software.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team.
- Experience with human resources functions associated with an organization with multiple office sites. Experience with multi-state and overseas operations preferred.
- Experience creating policies and procedures, especially in data privacy and database management best practices.
- Ability to manage several activities simultaneously, quickly analyze and resolve complex problems, and effectively lead team to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently on a wide range of HR technologies, software, and related systems
- Monitors and addresses team morale.
- Observes safety procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment and manages competing demands.
