Overview:
Inside Sales - Product Specialist
The Inside Sales - Product Specialist will partner with outside sales, the engineering department and management to drive the company’s strategic vision of developing, manufacturing and supporting quality metal forming machinery. The Inside Sales - Product Specialist will serve as the customer’s advocate by responding to inbound inquiries, exceeding expectations by providing superior customer service to increase customer attraction and retention. This role wil collaborate with manufacturing to help to ensure customer service and operational excellence. The Inside Sales - Product Specialist will work closely with the team to manage workflow, sales process and the sales pipeline. This role will act as teh Inside Sales segment lead for rain gutter related inquiries, sales, distributor relationships, and marketing assistance pertaining to the product line. The Inside Sales - Product Specialist will work closely with the New Tech Machinery service team to aid customers to quick resolution on all service and warranty related issues.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer’s and outside sales requests in “real time” for price quotations, order entry and placement; communicating order status to customer and outside sales
Ask questions and probe to determine the customer’s needs in order to build the proper solution
Research and qualify leads; ultimately closing sales to achieve both individual and company’s sales targets
Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure proper support and provide a positive customer experience to instill confidence and comfort in every transaction
Prepare quotes, order entry, resolve queries and track production on orders utilizing the ERP system
Serve as a liaison with outside sales, purchasing and the manufacturing team to meet delivery dates
Utilize the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) system to maintain complete call records and valid customer/account information which supports increased product sales goals
Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers as well as an opportunity pipeline using the company’s ERP system
Demonstrate an expertise in collaborating with multiple functions, including sales partners, internal business partners, and acts with a sense of urgency on customer feedback
Research and resolve customer issues (i.e. order status updates, delivery times, payment collection, etc.)
Product specialist for all gutter machine inquires, sales related items, and distribution relationships
Constant study and education of the company’s products, services, and capabilities in order to be able to explain and demonstrate the equipment as well as speak intelligently about the products to customers
Stay informed about competing products and services
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
A high school diploma or GED is required. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline is preferred. In the absence of a degree, directly-related job experience serving in strategic account management and industrial sales role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.
Experience & Skills
At least one year of prior professional-level account management and industrial sales with proven experience meeting and exceeding sales goals is preferred
A proven track record of building and maintaining effective customer relationships within different organizations to meet or exceed established goals for product sales
Demonstrated strong organizational abilities and prior experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management system for business information tracking
Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external customers providing exceptional customer service
Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required.
Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required.
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task.
Works with a continuous improvement mindset.
Must successfully complete drug screen, physical and E-Verify
Bilingual English/Spanish preferable
