Job Description
Overview:
Process daily credit card payments and post to patient accounts, post all electronic remittance exception reports, process wholesale lock box mail, process and all direct deposit remittances, works suspense, resolve errors on posting payments, complete daily hospital deposit, post denials accurately through JDA and pull EOB's as needed and assists in mail process as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: One year experience in Patient Accounting or related field preferred.
Additional Skills/Ability: Must excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to use computer terminal, ten-key calculator, fax machine and copy. Must be able to effectively manage a large volume of accounts while maintaining a high accuracy and positive outcomes. Proven applicable experience working in an environment that utilizes electronic billing, internal report archives, and tools for applicable database management. Basic application knowledge of EXCEL and WORD.
