Who we are looking for:
As a Grant Manager at Phoenix Tailings, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by securing funding that supports our mission of sustainable mining. You will be responsible for researching, identifying, and applying for grants, loans, and funding programs offered by government agencies, foundations, and other relevant sources. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop persuasive grant proposals, manage the grant application process, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify government grants, loans, and funding programs that align with Phoenix Tailings' sustainable mining objectives.
- Stay informed about funding opportunities, changes in funding policies, and regulations at local, regional, national, and international levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and develop compelling grant proposals, applications, and supporting documents.
- Manage the end-to-end grant application process, including writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals within specified timelines.
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, reporting requirements, and deadlines throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain relationships with funding agencies, program officers, and other stakeholders involved in the grant funding process.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and project teams to develop budgets, financial reports, and progress updates for grant applications and awarded grants.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of funded projects, collecting data and preparing reports to demonstrate the impact and success of grants.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation related to grant applications, awards, and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in grant management, grant writing, or related roles, with a successful track record of securing funding.
- In-depth knowledge of government grant programs, funding sources, and grant compliance requirements.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling and persuasive grant proposals.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in grant management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting related to grants.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing funding landscapes.
Note: While a PhD is preferred, individuals with master's degrees and significant experience in deep science research and grant writing may also be considered.
