MCAP Infuse is a free, voluntary Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) operated and managed by the Office of State Procurement (OSP) of the State of Minnesota's Department of Administration for government healthcare facilities. MMCAP Infuse's primary function is to provide a full range of pharmaceuticals to its participating facilities. It also has contracts for vials and containers, medical supplies, drug testing, returned goods processing, influenza vaccine, dental products and services, and dozens of new lines of business.
The position provides analytical support to Knowledge and Financial Management (KFM) within MMCAP Infuse. This includes assisting in meeting reporting obligations for requests from internal staff, participating facilities and MMCAP Infuse vendors. The purpose of these reports includes developing MMCAP Infuse’s programs and internal administration fees controls; providing assistance to various report requests, and compiling standard internal utilization. The position is responsible for completing research assignments about various aspects of the pharmaceutical and health care products and services group purchasing industry and practices. In addition, the position is responsible for MMCAP Infuse policy and procedure entry and tracking, along with basic website access.
This position is eligible for either a hybrid telework arrangement or full-time in the office. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of technical, administrative, or paraprofessional experience supporting business information systems, which includes, but is not limited to, research, data analysis, reporting, and documentation; OR a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, health science, business administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience as described.
Strong analytical skills to interpret and apply a variety of complex rules and definitions.
Working knowledge of statistical methods and research methodologies.
Strong communication skills (written and oral) to deliver complete and accurate documentation.
Strong computing skills in a PC environment, such as Microsoft Office or other similar platforms.
Ability to prepare complete, comprehensive reports.
Exceptional organizational skills, demonstrated attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Exceptional human relations skills to provide customer support to an array of stakeholders and partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with procurement issues, business terminology, and common transaction requirements of pharmaceutical acquisition.
Ability to quickly learn various MMCAP Infuse programs, such as pharmaceutical, condom, dental, drug testing, flu, medical supplies, etc., in order to understand the terminology of products, NDC and number coding system, and sizes and measurements of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical product lines.
Experience providing website support.
Experience working with content management systems.
Experience with the state's procurement processes and systems.
Intermediate to expert Microsoft Excel, database, or spreadsheet skills.
