Job Description
H&R Agri-Power is looking for a Entry-level Computer Support Specialist to join our Hopkinsville, KY team. A Computer Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance to end users. Answer questions or resolve device problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. Also, may provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including cell phones and tablets. (This is not a remote position).
Basic Duties and Tasks for: "Computer Support Specialist"
1) Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
2) Oversee the daily problems of devices.
3) Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
4) Maintain record of computer inventory, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
5) Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
6) Oversee the daily problems of I-Phones, I-Pads and EST (Electronic Service Tools).
7) Report and discuss Computer issues with the Network / Systems admin.
8) Help with all “Special Projects” given to the IT dept.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with supporting IT.
Experience with hardware and software procurements, installation, and solving issues.
Experience with the management, maintenance, support, upgrade, or administration.
Strong inter-personal skillset and customer service oriented.
