Job Description
Overview:
The Payroll Specialist is expected to make a high-impact contribution to the Compensation and Benefits Team through encouraging system utilization and compliance, assisting with high accuracy payroll entries, and supporting compensation and benefits projects. This is an entry level position which offers opportunity to learn, grow, and add value to the Compensation and Benefits Team, and offers opportunity for employee to work remotely and in the Boston, MA office.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Provide support for key HR systems including, but not limited to, researching and resolving issues, unexpected results or process flaws.
Implement and recommend user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train team members on new processes/functionality. Train new system users and offer corrective training where needed.
Oversee data integrity in HCM system by analyzing data conducting various audits.
Assess and identify opportunities for system/process improvements, recommend, and document solutions.
Track system utilization and make plans to improve use of HR systems
Compensation/Payroll
Monitor weekly payroll submissions to ensure compliance with relevant state and local laws
Assist in building compensation structure and continued maintenance of compensation structure.
Evaluate future needs for maintaining job descriptions and FLSA compliance
Risk management
Reporting and Process Improvement
Write, maintain, and support a variety of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing HR and client needs.
All other duties as assigned by Compensation and Benefits Management
Communicate efficiently and in a friendly manner with a wide range of employees
Computer literate and able to learn new software quickly including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Function independently within company guidelines

Qualifications:
Education, Certification, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
0-2 years Human Resources or payroll experience preferred
Experience with Ceridian, Dayforce or ADP preferred
