Over the past fifty years, the client has built their employee-owned company on great ideas. However, they want to be better. In pursuit of “better”, they seek ideas like honor, excellence, and growth-mindedness. Failure and discomfort generally get a bad rap; the company embraces them and considers them essential for growth and improvement. They strive for flexibility and creativity, and they’ll expect you to do the same.
To really soar in the organization, you’ll need to be willing to practice:
- Courage - Jump into messy projects, experiment, fail, and try something new – repeat.
- Resilience - Regularly seek constant improvement and be open to feedback.
- Collaboration - Explore ideas with partners and customers; let’s find the best solution together.
- Self-Deprecation - Don’t take yourself too seriously; do draw out humor in situations; recognize that you’re all a “work in progress.”
And you’ll get to practice these attributes while executing marketing projects.
Some of the responsibilities you’ll encounter include:
- Lead the development of the marketing vision for the organization.
- Create comprehensive marketing strategies for awareness, growth, and retention.
- Leading and training a team of marketing associates.
- Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies.
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals.
- Plan and execute campaigns for digital programs, email, sales support, and internal communications.
- Work closely with sales leadership on outbound sales and customer meetings.
- Manage marketing budgets and expenditures (Google Ads).
- Lead audience segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations (Google Analytics and HubSpot).
- Responsible for producing valuable content for the company’s digital presence and supervising the design and organization of the company’s social media.
- Conduct general market research to stay on top of trends and competitors.
- Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing.
Skills that will be beneficial include:
- Demonstrable experience in marketing, together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across-channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
- Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics, and processing figures with spreadsheets.
- Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing.
- up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- SEO and PPC experience.
