Job Summary:
As a Warfighter Support Team Principal Systems Engineer, you will join a small team of engineers working in a dynamic environment, performing a diverse set of technical and support tasks. You will provide direct assistance to various warfighter communities relating to Missile Defense System (MDS) sensors. The team is involved in various areas such as warfighter education, Wargames and Exercises, radar analysis, capability deployment, operational assistance, threat modeling, radar educational videos, etc.
You will also be part of a larger Raytheon team within the Systems Engineering Directorate, which provides, develops, and maintains high fidelity performance simulations, executes system performance analysis (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), aids new business initiatives and develops & executes technology roadmaps.
This position works on-site at the Missile Defense Agency / Sensors Warfighter Support (MDA/SNW) organization at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position requires significant domestic and international travel
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
You will support various warfighter organizations and activities including;
Educating Combatant Commands such as, Sensor Manager Cells on radar capabilities
Reacting to real world situations impacting the warfighters
Oversee Wargames and Exercises
Participate in planning conferences, technical interchange meetings, system testing, and as the radar subject matter expert (SME) during execution
Contribute to the larger Missile Defense System (MDS) community.
Analyzing radar data
You will travel with varying frequency throughout the year, at times up to 20% (domestically and internationally), to meet program requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors’ Degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other STEM related degree
With the above degree, you must have eight (8) or more years of documented work and/or academic experience in an engineering related field, with specific experience in the following areas: (An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 3 years of experience)
Radar experience with a background in Missile Defense System.
Experience traveling internationally and/or domestically; must be willing to travel in this role
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date
US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
