SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced marketing professional to fill the Manager, Brand & Experience role leading the resort’s brand, product and event marketing efforts through execution of day-to-day brand awareness building initiatives. This person will plan, direct, and coordinate the marketing activity of current, new products, events, and partnerships/sponsorships for the resort. The position will work with the Marketing Director to ensure that all projects and campaigns are done to brand standards and guidelines while also responsible for developing and executing brand-building plans, events and partnerships/sponsorships that drive growth, profitability, and brand equity. This person will lead resort events with direct reports and cross-functional partners from conception to completion, planning, budgeting, execution, and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully planning and executing mid-size and large-scale events, exceptional project management skills, negotiating, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills and creative deployment. This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing and oversee a Manager, Brand Product and Manager, Sponsorships/Partnerships & Events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage the execution of brand and resort event marketing strategies and initiatives including partnering with external agencies and vendors, acting as the “keeper of the brand”.
- 360 consumer event management from ideation to real time execution to grow attendance and deliver ROI for attendees and vendors.
- Assist the Marketing Director in ensuring all resort assets adhere to brand standards and guidelines.
- Work cross functionally with the resort’s revenue generating departments (Lodging, Mountain Ops, F&B, Real Estate, Corporate events/Weddings) to identify their marketing asset needs.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to create compelling content and messaging that resonates with our target audience and increases resort visits.
- Maintain marketing calendar and cross-functional inputs/deliverables to ensure timely delivery of supporting plans and assets.
- Work with the resort’s creative agency of record and internal staff to ensure projects are completed on-time, on-budget.
- Build upon processes and procedures to maximize workflow to meet project deadlines.
- Lead and mentor the Manager, Brand Product and Manager, Sponsorships/Partnerships & Events.
- Support in the creation and execution of annual marketing budget.
- Ability to utilize performance metrics provided by the Marketing Manager to make informed brand marketing decisions.
- Exhibits advanced budgeting, logistics, project management and communications skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least 5-7 years of brand and event marketing experience, preferably in the ski/snowboard resort industry or travel/tourism industry and bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or like field. Experience with sponsorship activations and partner marketing a plus.
ABILITIES
Create and monitor brand consistency across all marketing channels. Building brand awareness, driving on-site traffic through mid-sized and large-scale consumer events, and improving the resort guest experience are key to help the organization meet objectives and goals. The Manager, Brand & Experience will interface with marketing team and resort managers to ensure that all resort assets are representative of brand and product offerings. This position will work closely the Marketing Manager to measure campaign success while also work independently with the confidence to make decisions and course correct when needed. Demonstrated ability to think from a consumer lens; always putting the visitor/home buyer at the forefront of strategies, programs, and initiatives. Excellent listening skills, follow-through on tasks, and completing projects in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy are a must. Additional job duties include participating in creative agency work reviews and managing workflows. The ideal candidate should work well in a group environment and must have passion for snow sports.
