Job Description
The Quality Assessments Division of Smithers is seeking a professional, entrepreneurial minded individual for our IT Help Desk Analyst role. Those looking for an entry-level opportunity in the Information Technology arena of a global company with the opportunity for growth in skill and knowledge, this role is for you. This position provides technical support to the Quality Assessments Division of Smithers, as well as other divisions within the Smithers organization. Responsibilities include managing service calls and requests from office and auditor staff, technical troubleshooting of Microsoft software (Windows, Office 365, SharePoint), as well as other programs such as InforCRM and a custom business application for audit operations management (BOS).
Essential responsibilities include:
Install, configure, deliver, tag and remove IT hardware, software, and peripherals; Image new computers; Coordinate timely repairs and/or upgrades
Maintain documentation in the helpdesk ticket system (SysAid); process, communicate and follow up with users regarding ticket status; assess customer satisfaction
Perform routine preventative maintenance on hardware and software systems; assist with network device maintenance; work with vendors for part replacement and/or provide technical assistance
Support query information (SQL) from BOS and create SSRS reports
Test, deploy, troubleshoot and administer Citrix VDI
Work with global IT colleagues to support shared systems

Education and/or Experiences:
Associate Degree in Computer Science or information technology preferred.
Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA or A+) preferred, or equivalent combination of coursework and experience.
Knowledge of Windows 10 and above
Knowledge of Apple iOS software
Experience with MS Teams, MFA, Intune, Azure and on-premise AD basics, Citrix VDI preferred
SQL Reporting and similar knowledge
Knowledge of SOC/SIEM (Rapid 7) desired.
Computer Skills:
Experience installing and troubleshooting PC hardware and software in a regulated network environment.
Knowledge of installing Windows 10 or above, Mac, and iOS operating systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Knowledge of Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, Intune, MFA, and SharePoint.
Comprehensive understanding of current computer hardware and software technologies.
Understanding of information security practices, software, and systems.
Understanding of LAN/WAN Networks and VPN.
Familiarity with Apple iOS mobile devices and IP Telephony
Knowledge of SQL, Power Automate, and PowerBI preferred.
