Job Description
Our client, a private equity infused manufacturing company located in the Conshohocken PA area seeks an entry-level staff accountant to join their dynamic team! The successful entry-level staff accountant will work directly with the CFO, CEO and plant controller on various projects. The ideal candidate will be a recent accounting or finance graduate, with a desire to build a well-rounded foundation in finance and accounting. The candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting and be dedicated to accurate data entry and timely reporting. Clear presentation and attention to detail will be key components of this position. The candidate should be a team player and bring a positive attitude to work. The Company has a great team who works together to achieve common objectives, while promoting an energetic, fun and flexible environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities of the successful entry-level staff accountant include:
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations,
Process journal entries into ERP (Oracle) for month-end close,
Understand the effects of data entry into Oracle from a holistic perspective,
Run general ledger reports and present to the plant controller and/or CFO on a weekly basis.
Analyze trends in balance sheet and income statements for separate plants to identify unusual discrepancies or variances.
Provide financial support for ad-hoc projects across different functions (sales, administrative, production, C-suite, etc.)
Support audit and tax related requests
Prepare 1099’s at year-end.
Process accounts payable invoices daily and file electronically in organized manner,
Post cash to accounts receivable daily,
Perform investigative work on AR and AP as necessary, professionally contacting our customers and suppliers,
Understand cash management on day-to- day basis,
Generate treasury, AR, & AP reports daily for plant controller and CFO,
Provide assistance in preparing on cash forecasting and treasury models.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
Excellent computer skills with experience in MS Office (especially Word, Outlook and Excel) is required
Detail oriented, attentive to detail, and committed to clean work presentation.
Some ERP experience a big plus!
