Executive Assistant to the President
Summary of Position:
The Executive Assistant to the President of Real Estate is responsible for aiding and supporting the President of Real Estate in their decision-making processes and advisory role to the principals and management of the Merchant Family Companies. Our ideal candidate will be expected to solve problems quickly and is highly detail-oriented.
Essential Job Functions:
The statements below describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required. This position will assist the President of Real Estate and/or the real estate team.
· Serves as a liaison between the President of Real Estate and the real estate team.
· Provide executive level assistance, such as maintain the President of Real Estate’s calendar, attending weekly meetings, facilitating phone calls, emails, document delivery, etc.
· Communicates directly with the President of Real Estate.
· Preparing correspondence to resolve matters concerning legal, development, and construction related concerns for all sites in our pipeline.
· Assist with sites being prepared for committee review.
· Assist in securing information to prepare real estate packages for the client and for presentations in the weekly Real Estate Committee.
· Prepare reports, assist with scheduling and assist the President of Real Estate in attending meetings that he/she may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
· Ability to redirect individuals who may want to assign or request other duties or to work on their projects.
· Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
· Execute office management tasks and adjust to the needs of the real estate office.
· Possess discernment for working with confidential information and tight deadlines.
· Perform other projects as requested by the President of Real Estate.
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
· An associate degree is preferred but not required.
· 2-5 years of experience as an executive assistant, administrative assistant, or secretary.
· Real estate experience or knowledge is preferred but not required.
· Detail-oriented and highly organized.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and professional demeanor.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
